BIM Philosophy
BIM is a 3D model-based process that provides the insight and tools for efficient planning, design, construction and the management of buildings & infrastructure. One of the key aspects of BIM is the digital information stored of a built asset. This information is assembled to then be used for many collaborative activities across all AEC professionals - resulting in a greater life value of the assets.
The implementation of BIM enables easy access for stakeholders to the project, so that any inputs can be integrated into a design efficiently. This minimizes design discrepancies, abortive costs, and lowers the risk of on-site inaccuracies. BIM can also be utilised during design analysis to explore design options through helpful visualisations so that stakeholders may envision the project before construction begins. BIM can also generate professional design documentations for the submission to local authorities, up to documentations used for construction.

Established in 2006, VirtualField Sdn Bhd is dedicated to innovatively supporting the Malaysian Industry by leveraging Building Information Modeling (BIM) and associated technnologies.
With over 30 years of collective experience in the construction industry and more than a decade in BIM expertise, our diverse team understands the challenges of BIM Deployment and Implementation in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sectors. Our primary goal is to introduce cutting-edge technology to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the construction industry.
At VirtualField, a key focus is on advancing our Research and Development (R&D) department to improve the 3D workflow for BIM in design. To revolutionise the BIM industry, we have introduced an automated 3D workflow revolutionising the design process, where schematic drawings to tender drawings can be automatically generated with our modeling strategies and automation.
Since 2014, we have partnered with Kalloc Studios Asia Limited (Hong Kong), an international software development company specialising in cutting-edge AEC industry technologies.
Here in VirtualField, we also provide BIM-related services that specialise in BIM modeling, coordination for BIM-based companies, support on collaboration, and in consultation. In 2010, VirtualField also entered a partnership with ACID Hong Kong - a group with more than 20 years of experience in Hong Kong and international BIM projects. Through this collaboration with a dedicated team in the BIM industry, VirtualField takes the lead in the technology by pioneering the local BIM scene.

WHAT IS BIM FOR DESIGN
Our existing workflow primarily emphasizes the utilization of BIM during the design stages to assist BIM-centric companies in their design processes. In the imminent future, we plan to integrate BIM for construction, specifically for construction sequencing. Currently, we are in the initial phases of an ongoing pilot program to evaluate and refine this implementation.

Our envisioned 3D workflow methodology encompasses the seamless integration of all stakeholders within the AEC industry. The collaborative framework mandates regular reporting to the BIM management team, facilitating collective efforts to identify and mitigate potential design clashes or conflicts in a proactive manner. This approach is designed to foster a cohesive and synchronized workflow throughout the project lifecycle.

PROJECTS IMPLEMENTATION
We provide comprehensive implementation for a seamless transition to a 3D workflow, including developing masterplans, establishing standards and protocols for BIM modeling, overseeing processes, creating animations for design communication, managing and auditing BIM models, and assisting with tender documents and collaboration coordination for BIM-based companies.
IDWE PLATFORM
Integrated Development 3D Workflow Environment (IDWE) is our platform that we have developed on collaboration with Kalloc Studios Asia Limited, in which AEC consultants may use for all parts of the BIM for Design lifecycle.
IDWE IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAM
We offer implementation programmes for individuals or BOM-based companies in the AEC industry looking to transition their office and workflow to a 3D workflow. This is completed whilst utilising dedicated authoring tools (Revit, etc.) and our collaborative IDWE 3D platform for the coordination of project life cycle modeling.

IDWE CDE
Our Project Information Management Common Data Environment (PIM CDE) platform is a researched and developed in collaboration with our partners from Hong Kong (ACID HK). It is an information management platform, that is designed to organize and manage each project’s lifecycle - from Schematic Design to Design Development -Tender-Construction and to Facility Management stages.

Developed by our Partner, ACID China & Canada Design & Project Ltd. It is a design visualization and material management BIM platform designed for potential home owners.

Mr. Qu ChangSheng established a professional talent development team from Canada, China, India and other countries in 2020, combining BIM VR AI Blockchain, WebGL and other technologies to create an international digital platform for one-stop intelligent building material procurement. This platform is based on BIM and AI technology to achieve 3D visualization, real-time interactive customization of materials, digital display and sales of real estate projects, improve the efficiency of building material procurement, and reduce carbon emissions and material waste during the construction process. The Ebuilding project has now been accepted by UBC HATCH.
